Walk, run and explore Delta's wooded campus trails

The 51ÂÒÂ× Covered Bridge Trailhead Access

If you’re looking for a new favorite walking or running trail that provides a peaceful escape, explore 51ÂÒÂ×’s 640-acre main campus that offers over seven miles of well-maintained wooded trails.

Over the years, these trails have been a well-loved amenity for students, staff and community members. This summer, the trails received fresh woodchip coverings and new wayfinding signage, including trailhead kiosk maps and directional arrows to help guide your journey. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular trail-goer, there’s something new to discover.

Now is the best time to discover the trails as they are especially vibrant with leaves bursting with reds, oranges and yellows to create the picture-perfect fall backdrop for a photo-op. As you explore, keep an eye out for local wildlife including deer and wild turkeys who have been known to be spotted along the trails.

Delta's campus features three looped trails

This 1-mile loop runs alongside the Klauss Drain and nearby farm fields. Accessible from the east side of campus or the Four Mile Road Trailhead parking lot.

This 2-mile loop shares access points with the Blue Trail.

This 4.25-mile loop runs adjacent with the Orange and Blue Trails on the east side of campus. Additional access points are available on the west side of campus near the athletics fields off Mackinaw Road and the south side of campus near the Klauss Drain.

Please note: The Covered Bridge Trailhead is temporarily closed for maintenance to ensure visitor safety.
