Do you want to make a difference in a child’s life? 51ĀŅĀ×’s Child Development program can give you the opportunities and support you need to get there.

ā€œThere is a lot of mindfulness that goes into play,ā€ says Elisabeth Remington, student. ā€œAll of the activities are so thought out and so well planned. We’re not just playing; but we’re building brains.ā€ Child development teachers provide cognitive, physical, social and emotional growth and development opportunities and support for infants, toddlers and preschoolers—a crucial learning period in a child’s life. They focus on whole child development and helping children for later academic and social success.

What is the job outlook for early childhood education?

According to the , an average of about 106,500 job opening for kindergarten an elementary school teachers is expected each year and employment for preschool teachers is projected to grow 4%  with 61,400 openings each year through 2033. ā€œYou can start in child development and end up in a wide range of opportunities,ā€ says Jill Harrison, professor. ā€œBecause you can choose your internships, placements and the classes that will meet the needs of your goals and your career path.ā€
