Ready to see some great art by some amazing contemporary professional artists? We were too. So that's what we feature at the Galleria.
Located in the lobby of the S Wing, the Galleria adds a breath of fresh air to every day at Delta. Featuring an array of different types of art, from painting and ceramics to textiles and mixed media, the Galleria is a great way to pass time between classes and get a little culture along the way. You might even find yourself meeting a featured artist, be drawn to take an art class yourself and discover a new passion.
Current students are encouraged to display their work at the annual Delta Art & Design Student exhibition. Every year, dozens of studentsā works are displayed in the Galleria. Students who are selected for recognition also become recipients of cash awards, provided by the 51ĀŅĀ× Foundation.
Galleria Exhibitions
51ĀŅĀ×ās Art + Design faculty work to create exhibitions within the Galleria space on campus including:
- Year-round exhibitions by contemporary artists
- Artist lectures and informal gallery talks
- Annual faculty exhibition
- Annual student exhibition
Exposure to working artists benefits 51ĀŅĀ×ās academic students as well as the community at large. Interactions with guestsā artists, through lectures and gallery talks, can also positively benefit area K-12 students, providing an avenue of exposing high schoolers in particular to the quality of 51ĀŅĀ×ās Art + Design academic degree.
